Our History

History of Regent Life Church

Regent Life Church developed from a fellowship called Haven Worship Center, which was founded by Bill and Leatha Williams in 2004. Numerous people found inner healing and physical healing in Jesus, and this continues to be an important part of our spiritual DNA. Many prophetic words began to be released to us that indicated that God was adding an outward focus to our community, to Alaska, and beyond. This additional vision for community influence became so pronounced that a name change was required. In 2014 Haven Worship Center became Regent Life Church. A regent is one appointed and commissioned by a king to do kingdom business while the king is away.

Regent Life grew and outgrew its rented 2,600 square foot storefront space, and in 2018, through a series of miraculous events, and the generosity of many, we purchased a 10,000 square foot building right in downtown Homer. This building was for many years a bowling ally and was in need of much repair and renovation, which was accomplished by profound generosity and the hard work of an army of volunteers, and tradesmen. Because of our call to build relationships and be an influence to our community, the building has been renovated to include commercial space along with ministry space. We are extremely grateful for the building, and it has become a center of Kingdom activity of many kinds, all done in the name of Jesus.
